Amazon.com replaced local community; charges us for the benefits of personal connection

It’s more and more clear to me how the economic niche Amazon.com exploits is the vacuum left by the collapse of weak authentic local community, which preceded it.

It’s true K-Mart, Walmart, Amazon strategize to kill local mom and pop stores. Yet, this would not have been possible if local consumers loved their locally owned and run stores and had organized against corporate big box and online giants.

If you wish to know the dollar value of authentic local community, of authentic local economy, you have only to add the gross income revenue of Amazon and corporate big box stores who extract wealth from local economies. It’s billions or a trillion dollars annually.

Unintentionally the corporate income of Amazon et al make plainer than any other evidence, the argument for the value of authentic local economy.
