Abstract ~ The spring 2020 pandemic demonstrates the weaknesses of our present, established too-narrow germ-immune model.

This article addresses separating the pandemic of fear from the pandemic of infection. It describes the on-going evolution of our mainstream medical model of disease cause and immune function. No short-term solutions of any kind are addressed.

The parable of “The Blind Men and the Elephant” is especially relevant. A more complete model, “with all part of the elephant working together,” has been developing for 125 years. It will take another 5–10 years for an expanded, more workable consensus understanding of the whole “elephant,” to become mainstream.

The 2020 pandemic demonstrates the destructive power when two pandemics converge, an actual infection phenomena; overlayed with, a pandemic of fear. These two together are damaging the economy. The sooner the fear pandemic de-escalates, the sooner unnecessary damage can be reduced.

What if the known flaws in our current medical model of immunity, exaggerate the fear pandemic…
