I'm 69, perhaps active in these fields for a length of time similar to you. Are you aware you are outlining and filling in some balnk pages of an Ecotopia How To manual? I see both the strengths and weaknesses of Ecotopia here.

Two omissions conspicuous by their absence to me are:

1) Best Practice in Group Process and Interpersonal Competency, methods and training to practice (I have scripts) to reduce interpersonal conflict.

2) Clear platform plank of ecumenical spirituality. My college course on history of USA intentional communities made it obvious most sustainable communites have a spiritual consensus at their core. Without this, you end up with Ecotopia at the best and every video game about mad Max-like future dystopias at the worst.
