How face-to-face culture will likely be re-invented

A new mainstream culture of face-to-face interaction is UNlikely to be led by men. It will be led by women.
I live in Los Angeles. Riding the Metro Light Rail, a real cross-section of people is visible. Except for a very few people not taking their psych meds, most people on public transportation are handling other people well. On the Metro people feel safe. Lots of security around supports feeling safe too.
On the streets, with no security around, people seem much more fearful of each other. It’s not just racial stereotyping and predjudice — I believe it’s primarily fear of the Other.
Fear of the Other can only be overcome by two things together:
- Self-connection, get familiar, comfortable and conversant with your own internally fragmented parts, and
- Face-to-face familiarity with people outside your your own Tribe-of-origin.
IFS is the most evolved method in 70 years of working-with-parts for self-connection and Self-leadership.
