Imagination and service antidote excess materialism
MSIA.org still has best balance here of any group I know
In 2002, some of us were amazed how easily fear and fear-based thinking took over everywhere after 9/11. Life was more and more re-defined as only who we are and what we do materially.
This wouldn’t be so bad except conceiving of the human being as primarily or exclusively physical matter — inevitably produces fear.
Why? Because we all know we are going to relax and release our physical body vehicle at some point. If this is mainly who you identify with — then fear becomes your Partner.
In fewer words we can say, excessive materialism breeds fear.
The fear and excessive materialism of 2020 have multiplied the fear and materialism of 9/11 of 2001. As of early May 2020, fear and materialism have won a great victory. Most people on the street are afraid of each other, afraid of germs they can’t see, etc. The only people this could possibly benefit are the CDC, WHO who work hand in hand with Big Pharma vaccine makers. CDC vaccine price list April 1, 2020.
But I digress. The more positive focus is — for those looking for this — what can individuals do to antidote excess fear and excess materialism?
