You don’t need to change. You need a workable method applied consistently

It’s too easy and lazy to beat yourself up over needing to change. Only the application of a workable method, over time, gets results

In the holistic healthcare community, I know a large number of wounded healer types. For decades, I was one myself. It makes me sad to see so many women healers struggle with cancer and breast issues (male wounded healers struggle with prostate cancer).

What’s wrong with this picture?

A useful approach is to consider these as problems of one-sidedness.

If you say to yourself, “I NEED TO CHANGE,” it’s just self-flagellation. It’s too vague. It offers no useful therapetic direction.

It’s also self-indulgent. In Rudolf Dreikurs Mistaken Goals, which you can look up, it’s closely related to “demonstrating incompetency.” A white knight, good woman; or, a magic pill will come and save me. Demonstrating incompetency is a victim strategy. Why? It keeps you a victim. It preserves victimhood. It preserves your internal status quo low self-concept. It’s self-indulgent.

From the pespective of New Energy Anatomy, “I NEED TO CHANGE,” is also one-sided:

  • It’s a right-brain-only thing to say,
  • It’s a gut-brain-only thing to say,
  • It’s a one-sided yin thing to say.

It’s living with one hand tied behind your back.

Which hand? Your right hand (left brain hemisphere) is missing.

What can your right hand do, your left hand (right hem) cannot? It can identify a workable method for you to apply and take baby steps with. It can keep you on track with a calendar to consistently apply and work your chosen method, three or more time a week; for, 10–15 minutes or more each session.

Q: What if I have no workable method for what I struggle with?

A: Then you need to go method-shopping. You are in the market for a method of self-connection workable for you now, for your current challenges.

In 2024 I know two current Best Practice self-connection methods. One is Internal Family Systems. The other is MSIA.org.

Q: Why these two groups?

A: Because these are current Best Practices in SELF-INTEGRATION. If you know of equal or better methods, please do share with me.

Internal Family Systems

A gem from IFS Talks podcast: “You are not your parts; and, your parts are not their burdens.”

BEST INTRO I know of is Four-part Dick Schwartz Toronto videos introduced by Derek Scott
“Video title: “Dick Schwartz: IFS and Trauma 1 of 4” — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UfmGwENz9M&t=2260s

More boring but substantial main site: Main site: https://IFS-institute.com

Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness

If IFS and other methods of self-connection fail for you, maybe you are looking for msia.org. Blessing Each Day is a Mon-Fri 9am PST worldwide gathering: https://msia.brightcovegallery.com/BlessingThisDay

MSIA is a Western group studying “Light and Sound” and the “sound current.” You can Google these terms.

The most gentle intro to MSIA is Blessing This Day. It’s a Mon-Fri 9am PST worldwide gathering: https://msia.brightcovegallery.com/BlessingThisDay
If you like that, ask for the free literature or get Manual on Using the Light $4.00, MSIA explained in cartoon form by a very wise, loving woman who chose to be anonymous for this booklet. https://www.msia.org/shop/product/manual-on-using-the-light/
